Quinn's First Haircut

Today Quinn had her very first haircut today with our good friend Betsy. It was a little sad to cut off her curls, but it looks so much better!

Here's her little "party in the back" that we had Bets fix up.

She was so good and very still while Betsy was working her magic.

Quinn had a great time with Betsy! All day she was saying "Betsy hair" and on the way to the salon she kept repeating "Betsy time."

All smiles after the haircut when Bets asked if she wanted pigtails!

Pigtails for our sweet little girl.

All trimmed up and on our way to a redhead bob!

Big hugs for Betsy!

Elsa & Quinn

We had the Koprivas over last night for pizza. Elsa is the closest friend Quinn has in town to her age and they played so well together last night.

Elsa got tired so she climbed up on our little water heater box. Then Quinn tried to snuggle with her too.

I think we might have posed this one. (Good one Tyler!)

We absolutely love this face that Elsa makes! And yes, Quinn is eyeing her baby.

We hope these two will continue to be great friends for years to come! Such sweet, adorable girls!

Songbird

Quinn loves music and loves us to sing to her, but her new thing is to stop us when we're singing to her by saying "excuse me daddy" and then keeps singing on her own. We think it's so cute.

In this next video you get a medley of Row Row Row Your Boat, Rock-a-Bye Baby, Baby Bumble Bee and Baa Baa Black Sheep. Yay!

Girl Time Fun

I just uploaded these cute pics from the holidays today. Morgan was in town and came to visit, and Quinn was playing with the garland as a boa. Too cute!

Also, here's a photo of Quinn with Elaine Morse and Alivia Grefe. Finally got a pic of these three cuties together!

Quinnie's Little Feet

Years ago, Papa made up a fun little rhyme the children absolutely adore. Quinn loves it so much that she taught it to her cousin Alleyne.

Typically an adult says the rhyme and sends the feet to the moon, but these girls proved a toddler or a preschooler could do it too!

For posterity purposes, Papa Dave's rhyme goes like this:

Quinnie's little feet go beep-beep-beep.
Quinnie's little feet go boom-boom-boom.
Quinnie's little feet go TO THE MOON!

New Year's Celebration

The Syverson clan came down to Iowa to celebrate both Christmas and the New Year, and we had a ton of fun with them as well!

We love getting our sweet Syverson girls together. Quinn is so lucky to have cousins to grow up with. Here's Zoe (almost 1), Alleyne (almost 5) and Quinn (18 months). These adorable matching jammies came from Grandma Nan!

Quinn loves her cousin Zoe!

Dancing with Leynie!

Big Cousin Alleyne let Quinn borrow her Dorothy shoes. Looks like we need to get some ruby slippers for our little red head!

At the end of the weekend Quinn got a little one-on-one time with Grandpa Gary & Grandma Nan. She has so much fun with her grandparents!

What a great way to ring in 2012!

Christmas Recap

It was a fun, but busy holiday season! And with the busy came no blogging so I'm going to try and do a quick few updates via photos.

Christmas was in Kansas and we had a WONDERFUL time seeing family and friends. Here are the pics and highlights from that celebration:

Frosting cupcakes with GG. Quinn absolutely loved this and the cupcakes were delicious as was everything GG made that weekend.

Quality time with Aunt Dani, soon-to-be Uncle Allen and Chevy. Quinn didn't like Chevy much that weekend, but hasn't stopped talking about her since!

Quinn just can't get enough of her Papa Dave!

Christmas Eve photo. Quinn had fun in the nursery at Papa & GG's church while we enjoyed the wonderful message from Pastor Joe.

Here's the display from Santa.

Reading the letter back from Santa on Christmas morning.

We had a lot of fun opening presents with Miss Quinn, but I think she was a little overwhelmed!

"Giddy-Up, Giddy-Up Horsey Go to Town" with Great Grandpa Bob, every grandchild's favorite memory.

Great Grandma Connie also spoils Quinn and spoiling or not, Quinn adores her.

With the new coloring table from Santa, we started learning the lesson of not eating crayons. Silly Quinn!

It was such wonderful holiday seeing family and creating memories!
